Age Requirements:
- You must be 18 years old to purchase a marriage license
- No one under age 16 may apply for marriage license
Identification:
- Picture ID (such as driver's license)
- Certified copy of birth certificates
- Social Security numbers
- Parents' full names and mother's maiden name
- States in which parents were born
Application:
- Both parties must appear in person at time of applying

License Validity
The license can only be used within the State of Louisiana
Office Hours
8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday
We suggest you come in no later than 4:00 PM if possible. It takes about 15 to 20 minutes to complete a marriage license application.
